Tigers News

posted 29 May 2012, 22:58 by Niaill Whatmore
Morning everyone

Sorry a little bit late with the news this week.

We had another busy session last week with good numbers attending especially since we are well into the summer and the weather was strangely fantastic last week. This Thursday is looking cooler and maybe damper so fantastic skiing conditions should prevail.

Welcome to Patrick Magill who joined us last week and looks like a great little all mountain skier in the making.

Other News
As most of you know four of Tigers members will be embarking on the C2C cycle ride this Monday. A strange idea that came about when we were travelling to Castleford one Sunday morning. Anyway Dave Gray, Mick Quinn, Conrad Sidey and myself will be pushing the limits to complete the 144 mile challenge in hopefully about 12 hrs. John Parker will be the vehicle support for this. Thank you John and to Dave Gray for organising the routes.

The timings for the day if you want to see / support us on route are approximately:

:Workington to Keswick 24 Miles   - 2 hours (12 miles per hour) approx 8 am in Keswick

Keswick to Langwathby 28 miles – 2 hours 20 mins (12 miles per hour) approx 10.20 am in langwathby

Langwathby to Allenheads 28 miles – 3 hours (as involves hills) approx 1.20 in Allenheads
